Crystal Lake Manor is the large mansion in The Gallows that sits on the island in the center of Crystal Lake. The Mad Lord Doom was master of this house and all the haunting souls that dwelled within. It is unknown how or when, but the manor was cursed, as were all its denizens. They were cursed to endlessly repeat the night a massacre took place, and as The Curse of Madness took hold, the estate truly became a horrifying place. Like all of the lake around it, the manor exists in a constant flux with The Mad World, and is one of the few places that exist as is in the dark world. The manor normally appears abandoned, decrepit, with the lost souls inside able to be seen and heard throughout its halls. However, when pulled into the darkness, the nightmare begins. The curse would take effect, giving all the ghosts that haunt it physical form, only to be slain repeatedly by yet another soul stuck by the curse, The Butcher. The house itself would also physically strike out with evil, with books in the library flying around seeking others to hurt, and the plants in the greenhouse becoming enormous monstrosities that would crush or even eat those unfortunate enough to be caught by them.
When Doom was accidently awaken from his slumber, he retook control of all the souls inside, and ordered them to take part in The Battle of The Alsari Wall.
After the destruction of Doom and the end of The Mad Lord Saga, it is not known what has become of the house and its denizens.
