Baila is the name a local tribe calls an enormous species of snake native to The Fjord. They are over twenty feet long, and large enough to easily swallow a grown man whole. They are venomous, but instead of being toxic, their venom is a highly potent anesthetic, rendering its victims asleep in seconds if the dose is high enough. The serpent then devours the sleeping victim slowly.
The tribe uses the venom to incapacitate intruders, as well as for agricultural purposes, using it pacify highly aggressive bees and collect their honey.
